Welcome to the Thunderdome.

The basic idea behind Thunderdome is to provide a forum for people to collaborate on photoshop tennis and variants on it. Photoshop tennis, as first introduced bywww.coudal.com has evolved from well-known designers competing according to strict rules with each volley judged into a more freestyle, open-access approach.

The general idea is that one person posts an image, and someone else posts a response based on that image and so on, until a series of volleys has been completed to the mutual satisaction of the parties involved.

You can establish how many volleys will be made, time limits, a theme, or anything else you would like to try out. Some popular variations in the past have been mural-style volleys, three-way collaborations (or more), team-based matches, a series of volleys than piece together to form a printable 3D form, posters, vector-based images, 3D based images, multimedia volleys, et cetera.

If a match is already in progress, please don't join in without being invited, or unless one or more of the participants says it's OK - if you want to start a new match based on someone else's image feel free to do so (acknowledging the original person's work and the inspiration thread). Open matches are welcome, though, so if you want to create a thread where everyone who feels like it can create images according to a theme or based on a specific image, just say so when you post the starter image and start the thread.

Have fun!

Did you mean salon or saloon?

You mean you don't know what a sallon is?

They are every where, in most town centres I'd expect. It's a mixture of old style bar and a hair dressers.

I can't believe you didn't know this.

This section redacted due to repeated violations by myself:

As a general rule, please keep the volleys that you post to under 100 kb and no larger than 600 pixels wide - if you do want to work with larger images, please post smaller ones and link to the large format for our brethren with dialup.

If you do want to work with images that might be NSFW (Not Safe For Work), please indicate NSFW in the thread title. If you are using someone else's graphics, please give them credit and indicate your sources. Avoid copyrighted materials for obvious legal reasons, and please leave out anything blatantly pornographic or too outré - if you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

:cthulu:

Further: I cannot change thread titles so try to choose something descriptive. For all viewers, threads may have become nsfw at one point or another, there's no way to tell in the titles. I'm thinking that peeps on dialup prolly don't bother much with the graphics forums, if I'm wrong, please do pipe up.

Sorry, you must be a member to post to a conversation. Either log in or sign up to get involved.
