I'm in the process of setting up custom themes. I know it's jarring but I feel like playing around. Feel free to yell at me all you want, I'll be resetting things to the default soon enough, as well as giving the option in the user preferences section to pick the theme of your choice.
Cheers.
(Also, on the upside, this one only took about three hours to knock out, so I'm pretty happy with the themability of the CSS)
Dude i'm half drunk what the fuck arr you doing to me????
Hey! It's xmas weekend and I'm bored before heading out to the Jerz with the girl tomorrow. I figured I'd screw with everyone
(I threw in a few bugfixes too, the embedded youtube videos no longer sit on top of the utility bar when you scroll)
But it still looks the same to me?
Only for a moment, I just did a deploy and broke the stylesheet
HOLY SHIT WUT JIST HAPPENED?!!!
*like
Oooo... I like the new like buttons too.
*likes those as well.
I'm both surprised and disappointed that a mustard/poop theme was not the first one developed. Kids today have no sense of tradition.
:(
wow bro looks nice man!!!!!
Digging it
This is very themey. I've had just enough beer to really appreciate the themeness of it all.
I believe the word you're looking for is 'theme-itude.'
I find the perma-threads (e.g. Where Are We Now?) insufficiently different from the regular threads to be easily distinguished.
Ok I did not drink enough last night to justify this headache, so I'm blaming this theme
I think the line height on H1 tags is too small, see this on a narrow screen so it wraps...
Merry Jesus Christmas
Also on the iPhone the search box isn't aligned with the other buttons in the header.
And finally get a designer involved in the next theme please!
I put the h1 on the wrong line there , but you get the idea.
ooh very pretty. You can reset to the default if you like, but please make this current theme available for choosing when you do so... me likey

Oh, I'd fucking love to, but I can't afford it
How about you let us play with the css and give you theme sets like we did on the last version?
Go for it!
The quickest way to get started is grab the screen.css file and run it through a pretty-printer.
A selection of themes is going to be bloody cool. Nice work, mate!
P~
Thanks, P
Yeah, another of the things I'd like to do is get the basic smilie set (smile, wink, grin, sad, etc. . . ) sprited and then change those with the themes as well.
What would be fantastic is to sit down and actually get a designer to give the place a real makeover, however that's way out of budget right now. Perhaps in a couple months I'll start looking for someone to redo the basic default theme come up with a small set of two or three the others.
Also, as a caveat around messing with the stylesheets — everything is subject to change, and the CSS could be reworked at any time.
where's the mustard?
I thought we were a place of designers?? Surely for all the love and harmony that flows through here, there's bound to be someone who can fling some poop design-wise?
Shit man, loads of the regulars make livings out of being designers (not me - I can't design worth a shit...that's why I code!) and I'm sure one of them would be able to help out to get started.
You not feel like opening up for some charideeee?
P~
Possible to upload/share themes?
Would be neat to allow designers to give away and sell themes to your clients/users and have a little skin/theme store.
