I have been thinking about this project for awhile, but would like your opinions before I started hacking away on the practicalities of this Mural.

The idea: This is a neverending mural. As long as theres designers who wants to share abit of their life in a picture of creation, it will never end.

If its a big success, it could eventually turn into a book.

The idea is that every week you choose an experience or mood from the past week to express in a psd or illustrator creation.

Did you have great sex with your loved? Get fired from work? Have had a week extraordinaire creativity Want to flip out and kill a whole village Go on a tristate killing spree ... ...

The subject can be everything from one single experience to a whole general mood over the past week.

The format will be 600x400ish, as I want to get the feel of a horizontal timeline.

Its an open project so everyone can participate.

The practical aspect: The mural view will be created as a sort of calendar, where a few bits of info about the designer and what week its designed for will be put underneath.

There can be more submissions for one week. So the idea is that to be able to join your submission with the previous, you sign up at a webpage, then you have a few days to submit your design and it will be automaticly added to the mural. If you dont submit anything someone else will be able to submit a design.

The above scenario is still a work in progress, im not sure this is the best solution, suggestions are welcome.

This is the basic outlines of this project. What do you all think about it - If people are interrested ill start working on the automation, site design and backend. The rules and submission steps are subject to change.

As said in the initial post, this is a somewhat larger Mural. So if people dig it, ill make a whole site for it. And everyone will be able to join

I know im pushing it, but please let me know what you think, even if its of negative way.

Its a rather big project, and I would hate to do all the work if people sees it as a failure.

I think it's a great idea and will happily participate. I'll be very intrigued to see how you work out the details - sounds like you have some interesting notions in the works.

you'd prolly find a lot of participation if it wasn't too complicated to submit work or to view submitted works. I also think the idea has a lot of merit and would be happy to support it. Where'd you get the idea from a.k.a. do you have any links to something similar to give ppl an idea?

No, not at all - I havent heard of anything like this before. But that dosnt mean it dosnt exist (you know, the vastness of the int0tw3b!)

I got the idea while taking a bath, thats where I get most of my ideas :shrug:

I think it's a great idea. I'd check it out once you have all the details worked out.
