This is the thread where you post your work shots.

Basically anything someone has paid you to do. No matter how boring, this is another "get a peek at what other stoners are up to" thread rather than a "hey look at what an awesome photographer I am" thread.

Hopefully, might help stoners see markets for photography they may have not thought of.

Anyway, here are some shots of client business cards for the company I am working for currently (until the end of the month -- BOO HOO k). These are for their portfolio website.

All done with my Canon Powershot Pro with natural (English) light.

et cetera, for a 35-page catalogue I did last year. k

Product photography is about it for commercial work for me - I've actually had my "street art" photos in a couple of books in the last year, but the only payment was a free copy of the book.

This one was pretty nice:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Street-Art-Terror-Xavier-Tapies/dp/095533988X

If I recall correctly they used these 2 shots:

A couple close at hand that were commissions. http://fc03.deviantart.com/fs10/i/2006/088/3/2/Vogue_Theater___Evening_by_rogue_designer.jpg

A bunch of architectural stuff, but I'll have to dig for the scans.

I don't do photography for money too often, but I do sometimes do product shots for a magazine.

All my shots from the CPI studio are on another computer. :(

I was supposed to get paid for this shoot, but this guy is a jerk who wouldn't even tell me he didn't like them.

This was an art trade, so not really money. man, I gotta put my desktop computer back together.

N00b alert!

I assume you mask and desaturate in Photoshop in order to get the single colour in the first shot. I love that type of shot - not 100% B&W. It kinda fools the eye into thinking the shot is in full colour...or does his skin have a hue as well??

Pretty much, I actually increased the saturation a bit before I masked. That's not even one of the ones he stole a low rez copy of for his myspace, but I totally like it.

we just filled this hole in, and parked up all the machines for the day. RAD.

I don't get it... did you get paid to take that photo or fill that hole? Or both?

I get paid to shoot horse pictures.

I got paid for a horse photo recently. It was used to start like chapter 37 in a book. To be honest I wasn't particularly proud of the shot but they wanted it and the check cleared. I guess I just think it's cool to be in a book. http://www.amazon.com/Braiding-Manes-Tails-Visual-Braids/dp/1580176992

I get paid, and sometimes I dig myself into a hole, other times I get stuck between a rock and hole with nowhere to go. I really think that I need something like one of those machines, there's nothing like the feeling of moving large quantities of earth around. It definitely rates alongside a really good crap! The sort where you stand back and feel proud of yourself.

Oxfam GB just offered to buy this one but I let them have it for free... it's Oxfam, after all.

I get paid to shoot horse pictures.

Is that a gay horse?

It's gelded, so my guess would be asexual, unless you mean happy gay, in which case, yeah, I think it is.

? That's a nice shot but what would Oxfam use it for? I am rather perplexed.

A book, website, and some powerpoint presentations on global warming & climate change, apparently.

great work from everyone... kudos all-around

I stumbled in here looking to see if anyone else does any product-photography. I'll have to look for some individual examples of my own work to show... I've done all the product photography for ARM Electronics for the last several years.

Nice clipping work Walt! And really good light, given the location. I get annoyed with those, much prefer to shoot them in my own space where I can control the light and backgrounds better.

I do a bit of product work. Most recently, I did all the jewelry shots for this website:http://www.juliafailey.com/

as is apparent from the original shot or second photo above, I am a hack

no studio setup, everything is McGuyvered on the spot... although in my defense on this shot, I do have some grey cloth I generally use to avoid the coloured reflections...

I am using a Canon Digital rebel XTi with an EFS 17-85mm lens and a simple lowel lighting kit similar tothis
