according to wired.
that's ignoring the millions and millions of desk jockies who still use PCs and web browsers.
their infographic is deceptive though since overall web traffic has been on a steady rise, even if it's fallen as a percentage of the total traffic.
the second graph athttp://gizmodo.com/5614841/the-iphone-killed-the-open-web offers up a more accurate assessment of things.
Am I the only one that hates that style of graph?
Stacked-area or whatever it's called.
Argh.
curmudgeons
I think they're just talking about the www
that's kind of dumb... just because you may check your email and then check your facebook, go onto news, those are still websites operating with html, javascript, and css, through a browser, whether it's on a computer, iphone, or ipad. the idea of a closed internet scares me. :(
THE INTERNET IS NOW CLOSED.
PLEASE GATHER YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS AND HEAD FOR THE NEAREST EXIT.
THANK YOU.
Oh man... I was just getting started.
packs bag
shuffles sadly home
That's ridiculous. I know lots of people who aren't hipsters working for tech magazines. They all still go "online" and "search for things" and "download stuff".
Pretty myopic perspective there, Wired, nice job on that research.
Right, like how nobody makes home cooked meals and you can tell that because there are so many restaurants.
dumb, move to worthless studies thread.
I'm on the interweb right now! I'm doing my part, are you doing your part?!
THE INTERNET IS STILL CLOSED
