This was the first of 3 Blu-rays that I took the risk of buying without actually seeing first.
The new beginning is confusing, and the new ending is totally gay, but everything between those parts makes for a much stronger film. It's a very different movie -- literally, with all the different cuts and angles and extra footage.
There's a couple things I liked better about the old one, and Non doesn't make his funny sounds any more, but this is one risk disc that I don't mind owning. 
...and it's nowhere near as shameful as the Payback Director's Cut Blu-ray that came out a couple years ago.

Are you drawn to the pretty colors? I'm afraid I'd rather watch The Conformist or Lawrence of Arabia in DVD than Superman II in Blu-Ray.

Superman II was good for showing off the comedic stylings of one Terrence Stamp though, you have to give it that.

I've downloaded way too many movies lately. On Wednesday I told myself I'd buy 3 $15 Blu-rays.
Superman II, Syriana and Million Dollar Baby were them.

Now that wingworm is done being a troll (HOPEFULLY!??!), I would really highly value everybody's opinions on this, the most important movie revisit of the greatest movie in history.
