Since the old thread is getting buggered up, here's a new one. Yay!
Here's a few from yesterday's adventures with G note
Isn't it great to have your own little model? Sweet little girls in graveyards are always good, I used to do that a bit. I like looking at your pictures, it makes me nostalgic.
I got back from vacation in New England a few days ago. I/we took over 1000 pics, I'll eek out the best ones as I go through them. The first couple are from Cape Cod.

Very evocative of New England, looking forward to seeing more shots... It reminds me a lot of the Maritimes in Canada, of course, Lovely part of the world. What kind of camera are you using?
Of course every time I hear "Cape Cod" I remember this ditty:
There once was a girl from Cape Cod Who dreamt she'd been buggered by God But it wasn't Jehovah that rolled the lass over 'Twas Rogers the lodger, the sod.
a little more woods

Neat, looks almost like infrared.

It's a canon S5IS. It's pretty good, but I would love to get me a dslr. One of these days.
I haven't heard any ditties about Cape Code before, now Nantucket on the other hand...
I was just curious becasue it seems to shoot a bit green, so does Pentax.

Neato photos persist. I like the corn tree. Where do you live? I'm going to guess the midwest, since they are covered in corn.
These were taking at the Cape Cod national seashore. We rented a double kayak and had a GREAT paddle. Lotta good exploring.

Yeah, Illinois, but oddly grew up in New England, so I know the places you're taking photos of well. Such beautiful land there.
Here's an old sketch of some space near where you're at

I love the photos. It feels like home.

That's an awesome drawing Persist! New England has some great landscape for sure, but you are doing pretty good at capturing the midwest too.

This captures that old-timey feel perfectly. It could be a picture from one of my grandmother's shoeboxes. I love love love the light qualities.
Thanks!
The old lens it totally addictive. It's like instagram on crack. It adds instant nostalgia.
Ha, that's very funny, when I first saw your experiments my immediate thought was "Huh, looks kind of like Instagram".
It's like a cordon bleu chef replicating kfc, using duck instead of chicken. Or something like that.
Any thoughts on trying different antiquey lenses?
yeah, I have a old crank shutter movie camera that might make for some interesting 8mm effects. It will need a camera capable of video though, so I save my quarters in the camera jar.

absolutely - it conveys the essence of having a little girl.

I call her blueberry for her oddly bright blue eyes. One day she looked at me real intently right in the eye and declared me her chocolate milk, for my brown eyes. It has stuck and we call one another our nicknames.
She's one of those people too, she has a look about her, everyone brightens up when she's around. She's magnetic. She's going to have boys pulling up to the house in their cars at 2am, I have no doubt.
