Christ, I have to convert powerpoint presentations into flash for web viewing. And you thought your job sucked.
Anyway, that means I have to work with Microsoft software. Somebody kill me.
How in the ever loving fuck do you create a title for a slide without the text physically showing up on the slide itself? I only want it to show up in the left hand column in "Normal" mode, NOT on the slide itself.
I've tried everything and have resorted to sending the text to the back and making it the same colour as the background... is this the only way to do it?!?!
[rant]I forgot how much I hated Microsoft software... the 2007 versions of the Office programs are the most convoluted, non-intuitive and ugliest pieces of shit in the history of the world. I hate the ribbon.[/rant]
Don't you just drag the title object off the slide and onto blue background/pasteboard?

Thanks Stu, that is a solution... but I've got, like, hundreds (slight exaggeration) of slides to do... there isn't a setting somewhere I can change that stops the text from showing up on the slide itself?
I'm not a PPT expert/user - can't stand the product - so don't know if there is a setting or option to turn titles off but I found this that might be able to help HOT XXX PPT PORN - 2 macros, 1 to move the title off stage and 1 to actually hide the title.
I cannot beLIEVE a) pulling the text box off the slide is the only way to do it and b) that you have to write a couple bloody macros to do such a simple task.
But anyway, that helps immensely. You rock, dude, thanks for that.
