Just a little something I threw together yesterday for shits and grins.
There's a shot breakdown here:http://vimeo.com/9779319
Enjoy! (or not)
damn fine work Mark.
Awwww, shucks.
shit I was wondering where you'd get that video from... then I see from your explanation vid that it's just a JPG!?!?! Blow my mind man. Course knowing that you can then watch it back and see little things, like the bridge supports that don't change perspective (well, none of it does of course, but they stood out more than anything else) but it's great stuff, the cars and waves you added, plus that sun flare. And all that shit going on and I haven't even mentioned the rockets.... awesome

Pretty bloody impressive mate
Thanks, guys.
noice... slick stuff!
Really slick mate. But I need more of the aftermath
It would be fun to reskin it as night vision and infared heat signatures.
XD
Heck, since it's done in AE one could do some simple motion tracking on the four corners of the ground plane to distort a bitmap in Flash. Take it another step further and use images pulled via Flickr's API tagged with "aerial photography" and a user-supplied city name. Call it myunholyvengeance.com or some such.

Not this one.
With HUD:http://www.vimeo.com/9872583
:notworthy
nice HUD.
just one little thing... if the missiles are meant to be hitting the bridge, they don't seem to travel quite far enough - it looks more like they hit each other in mid air to me.
i think the perspective is right though. it may be contextual. sound effects and possibly voice/radio chatter would help build context so you know without a doubt its the bridge being targeted?
the one on the left seems to travel at a constant speed relative to the camera once it has made its turn to the right - its speed relative to the camera should get slower as it gets further away, right?
Sorry for getting picky on your awesome little time waster Mark.. I wish my time wasting was so productive.
:P

Just thinking out loud.
It's cool how much those two little bits of motion - the cars and the water - help to seal the deal on the overall illusion.

Worlds of Fun! My son and I make a yearly father-and-son trip up the turnpike to ride the roller coasters, so I hate to see them destroyed. An the other hand, if I can find a good aerial photo of them ... :o

Expect a visit from the NSA soon.
Well done! So, so cool.
