I need some perspective on a logo I'm doing. I sent his to a client

He loved the concept, but wanted to have the rings on the same level instead of the black inside. I think the back black arrow works in being on the same level, but not the front. I don't know if it's something wrong with the perspective, or if it's simply that the black front color is too dominant.

Can anyone offer some advice?
I think the problem lies in the fact that you have a gradient fill in 1 part of the black arrow and not on the other (or on the blue) - thus you are adding a sense of depth to one element whilst the others remain flat.
It needs to be more consistent with the 'lighting'.

and another option would be have the blue in front and take the black in behind instead. The only problem is you'd have to rework the arrowhead's placement so you didn't lose it. That's another option to have the blue stand out more.
