Okay, I'll admit to liking her, even though I usually hate "pop" music. What a fantastic job of creating oneself in one's own image. Maybe this should be a guilty pleasure thread.
Polaroid has just named her a creative director. Not just a spokes person, she is going to assist developing product and strategy.
I don't know how I feel about that.
She seems to understand a whole lot about product development.
She's fantastic.
From SNL just now:
"Lady Gaga has been announced as Polaroid's newest Creative Director, which makes sense because just like a Polaroid, it takes a few minutes to figure out exactly what you're looking at."

Lady Gaga has achieved such fame that I know who she is, even though I have no idea who she is. In fact, this is the only Lady Gaga piece I've ever seen.

:trees:
She also seemed pretty down to earth and nice in an interview i watched 2 minutes of
I find her music pretty "meh" but "What a fantastic job of creating oneself in one's own image", yes. Absolutely.

I like her. I'd way rather watch her than Madonna for example.
Madonna looks like she smells like crotch. Lady Gaga looks like she smells like citrus.

See what I mean?!?
She should get her own radio station.
They could call it RADIO G-... k, I'll stop.
gets yanked off stage

That'd be all we need.
I don't get her at all. Seems like just another boring style over substance pop princess to me. I don't see any difference between her and Madonna/Katy Perry/Girls Aloud/Pink etc etc. The music is certainly nothing to get excited about
Is it because she wears a metal suit that shoots sparks out of her tits? Cuz that doesn't seem all that amazing (or even unique) to me.
<---- OLD MAN
Although I've heard the name, I've never heard a single track of hers or seen her in interview. I think I caught a few seconds of her live on TV once, playing a piano that was on fire or something.
spotifies
S'OK. I've heard worse.

Original or not, that's actually quite funny.

yet, there seems to be something missing there. no?
I had heard then name Lady Gaga, but i thought she was some kind of celebrity interviewer or something like that. Had no idea.
puh puh puh polaroid puh puh polaroid
i'm not really surprised they gave her a fox news spot
I don't really get her either, to me she's just sort of a Madonna/Prince 2.0 with shittier music. but she is real famous, if that counts for something.
and of course I could just be getting old and crotchety
I think that it took a lot longer for Madonna/Prince to go from nobody to top celebrity. Maybe it's just the media and the times.
Her music is pretty poppy with some decent hooks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrO4YZeyl0I
