i've never battled before, hardly been using PS for a month now, but figured i'd have some fun, learn some shit, and challenge myself both skillfully and creatively. anyone up?

throw something up and show us what you're made of, you'll be more inclined to get a taker that way.

If you throw a serve up I might bite. There has been a lack of battles recently and I've been lacking the creativity to start something so this might be nice.

hmmmm.. i dont really care for rules too much, but let's say similar size, similar theme carried throughout, try and carry at least one element from the previous volley to your piece to allow for more progression.

I generally work small (800x600 is usually the biggest I go if I start an image) and usually do jpg exchange, but can do psd exchange if it helps.

cool man, then i guess i'll start off w/ 800 x 600 if that's coolio w/ you. jpg exchange is fine w/ me, .psd is also, i'm not sure what the benefits or drawbacks of either are in their fullness, i just assume by what seems to be the obvious. :shrug: i just found out that i gotta transfer a client's site over tonight to their new host, but i'll try my best to get somethin goin tonight to where i can at least finish it up tomorrow after school and work, but i'll def have it up by wed. the latest.

i'm all for that. it was actually my original idea, i just lost sight of it til now. it'd be great, IMO, for me to have two peeps to learn from and take from on my first battle. so long as flee is up for it then i'm cool.

well here goes, not the best work even for my shitty self, but i'm very anal and look for perfection in my pieces, so i knew that if i didn't get it up now as is then i'd be workin on it for another week, and i don't have any time tonight to work on it, so this is the only way to get it up here by the time i said i would. how many volleys are we doing? 4 each? 5? i'm up for whatever. someone decide it before the first volley. peace out-

My longest battle was something like 25 volleys in total, split between two people. It was my funnest one so far i think. I prefer them long, as long as there's still inspiration and the time to do them. I think 5 volleys each on this (not including the serve) would be a pretty good length. That would make 15 volleys and the serve.. what do you guys think?

I work tomorrow but should be able to work on it. I'm also busy just laying the groundwork for a joined portfolio site with my friend so it might take a little longer than usual. I have thursday off though so it should be up sometime then at the latest.
