Anyone ever used Jshop in PHP? I've had someone ask me if I can update their website that is built with this but I'm not sure if I can say yes or not. Would I be able to update via the code or would I need to purchase a version of JShop? Thanks, Suzy k

According to the blurb it has "a state-of-the-art web-based interface" so it should be possible to update with that.

So do you reckon I could update by just having FTP access rather than having to purchase a license or am I best off just leaving it?

I'm just guessing, but it seems likely that there's a back-end user admin interface that you can log in to where you can manage the site. In theory the user should have the access details for this, but if they don't then you might end up having to poke around in the back-end database to see if you can identify the admin user and password.

I very much doubt you'd have to buy another licence to update the site.

//Edit, a wild stab in the dark on their demo store reveals that the admin interface is to be found athttp://domain.com/admin/ (assuming the software is running in the root directory of the site). So if you can find the login details, you're laughing.

Sorry, you must be a member to post to a conversation. Either log in or sign up to get involved.
