thumbnail / coverflow based search, worth checking out
Just downloaded it! Wow!!
I love it. It's so much easier for searching through images.
Nice find Ari
Looking at photos on Facebook with it is so much better!
Curses, it doesn't work with the new Safari. I guess I'll have to wait
It actually looks a lot like the new Safari.

Naye's got it on her machine and I'm jealous now

I've had this installed for a while now but haven't used it for ages. It was nice at first but after a while the novelty value wore off. The original search and categorization was really lame too though it looks like they may have updated it somewhat. Looks cool though.
This is what I suspect will be the user reaction over time - I was more interested in it for the interface than any real long-term utility, though. A lot more fun than browsing Google Image Search, I guess.

Is this similar to SearchMe?
I just looked briefly at the SearchMe site, perhaps one could call it similar...
the name sounds about right, you enable your site for searching? that's kind of what I found interesting at Cooliris anyway.
interesting what comes up when you currently search "twelvestone" I tried to get my own site enabled, but I've been using the Flash galleries, and Flash sites won't work.
I use it for searching getty images quickly, now. I really like it for stock searches. Too bad istock has not implemented the site activation.

it is certainly cool for browsing the Stock.Xchng
has anyone tried actually applying this to a site so that it works without the end user having it installed (via flash for example)
I was playing around with it to varying degrees of luck and wondering if anyone has done this successfully and if so got any tips?
you can probably find something online already made, e.g. there's this at FlashDen:http://activeden.net/item/advanced-wall-3d/14854 dunno how it'd handle a lot of images though.
