[quote]Picture Book Report is an extended love-song to books. Fifteen illustrators will reach out to their favorite books and create wonderful pieces of art in response to the text that has moved them, shaped them, or excited them. From sci-fi to children’s books to fantasy to serious novels, we’ll cover them all. For three weeks out of every month there will be a new illustration every day from one of us along with our thoughts, process, anything we can come up with. Together we will try to excite readers both new and old and capture some of that magic of storytelling.
We hope you enjoy the results of this experiment![quote]

I'd like to enjoy his work, I really would. That is a hell of a project. He obviously has skills but I just don't dig the aesthetic. I do have to salute anyone that can put illustrator/porn star on their resume, though.
i sort of feel the same way but it seemed an appropriate reference to your post. i've read an essay here or there by him and i actually like his writing better than his art. i'd vote for the 'pictures of girls' series over the gravity's rainbow stuff as well. the style is essentially the same but it certainly doesn't hurt to paint a girl in the foreground.
i just realized i neglected to link the original post. sometimes it takes me a week or more to go 'duh.' anyway,http://www.zaxart.com/
