I am working with a Slideshow Pro for one of my friends artists - Stephan Bircher and have a hard time getting it to play SWFs. #3 item on the list is SWF file, the rest are jpegs and .flvs. Slideshow Pro does not play SWF to the end during the "slideshow" mode, however it does play to the end while selected directly.
I have been fighting with this all day and am ready to give up and make .FLV out of the still images to replace the SWF. However, going to the video editing suite at work, assembling the slides into a movie in Final Cut Pro, exporting to Quicktime and then bringing it back home to put in Flash seems like a giant waste of time. Any tips on making FLV directly from jpgs? I know there are a few programs out there, but they seem to be geared towards people putting stuff on YouTube etc, and not for professionals.
And if anyone here got Slideshow Pro play swf files successfully, I would like to hear from you too!
Thank you!
I suspect that many round here would create stuff from scratch using some of thier own classes, sometimes its simplier to create what you need rather that hack someone elses code and work out thier api.
I have as3 'SimpleLoader' ( swf/images ) and a 'Videoplayer'/loader that could be adapted, but it might not be a two min task, but really not so hard?
Thanks, JLM, it will take me months to get even remotely close to what Slideshow Pro is offering for functionality. I am going to stick to converting jpegs to .flv I think - still looking for a simple solution of jpeg sequence to .flv. If anyone knows a message board that deals with Flash video mostly, please let me know!
