What is the best protection for images placed on the web?

1) I could use the right click Javascript thing but even I how how to get around that.

2) Put the regular "Take you dare take these images or else statement"

3) Don't put images on the web in the firat place k

So I was thinking about using Flash for people to view my images? I'd like to hear some of your thoughts or examples.

it really doesn't matter what you do... people can always take screenshots...

watermarking is fairly popular though... you can give the visitor a "good look" at your photo, but they will never reuse it if there is a transparent text covering it with the words : "this image belongs to harry@dick_and_tom.com, contact me for rights".

I suppose you could use flash to make a constant effect over the image so that it never appears fully... this would kill the "screenshot" idea, but I think you can still open any .swf with crackerware and then grab your image... however, this is quite a bit of work and not "everybody" knows how to do it... so, masking effedcts, layer texts etc. could be your solution k

yep.. what sak said.

By placing the image in flash you at least make them take a few extra steps to get the image.. Though most people looking to take specific images have imaging tools so a screen capture is all they need.
