Well, my 12s buddies aren't exactly the target market but the project that Ian and I have been working our asses off on for the last nine months or so has finally launched into public beta http://www.heyfoxy.com - sex positive dating for singles and couples.

Here's the story: I was looking for a new business to get into a while back and this particular idea really struck me about a year ago. I went through some projections and it really shined, both in that I think it'll make a bunch of cash and that I can really get down with the general idea, which is to help make anonymous sex more accessible and less scary. I spun the idea by Ian and he thought it was grand so we both started working our asses off on it. Ian did the design and the U/X and I did the development. It took way too long, and the site right now is barebones functionality, but at least it's launched. Also, thanks a TON to Speccy for the QA help.

The site itself is not really about dating, it's about hookups. We're competing with sites like Adult Friend Finder, Fling, Manhunt, and Red Hot Pie. But we're positioning ourselves the same way that boutique sex toy stores like Babeland positioned themselves against sleazy rubber dick shops.

Interestingly enough the most enthusiastic responses that I've gotten from people have been from female ivy league students.

This next week it's going to sit there, sort of unpromoted. Next weekend there's a bunch of systems work that needs to be done, then the payment gateway stuff will be hooked up and we'll be out there for real.
