my son the coach is looking for some help with a new eagle logo

apparently the school has been using this eagle logo for some time, but [not knowing all the details] they have been asked to stop using it

I was thinking that perhaps the best way to move through the design process for an eagle head or flying eagle would be to start looking to old variations that would be out of protected status...

if anyone has any links or resources in mind... thanks!

Don't look at me, last time I was asked to do an eagle piece I unknowingly recreated the Ultramar logo. Maybe Promotheus? Sports are violent, it makes sense, right?
