This is just a question for my own non-technical brain.....

Is the garbage collection any better in the new VM for AS3?

The reason I ask is I have a long history of building MP3 players in AS2 with no real solution around the memory leakage on one long continuous MP3 stream from a radio station.

I have twice tried to watch heroes on nbc.com and twice had crashes on my mac about 3/4 of the way through. My first instinct was to assume the memory leak is still there and memory being filled up faster with an .FLV.

Anyone know anything further about this? I assumed it was corrected (and documentation says it's been "improved") but I have my doubts now.
