damn - you're definitely an early adopter

but i did check with some of the guys around the cube and so far no glaring issues

there was scuttlebutt a while back that 3.5 would create a totally new profile and therefore not copy over bookmarks, add-ons etc - they would have to be restored from backup - is that the case?

One issue I've had on the Mac version is focus for clicking on links and flash files especially youtube vids. I'm thinking the integrated media player still has some bugs to be worked out.

ditto ...

makes me wonder if there are conflicts between Ogg/swf/flv?

I've always used ff but I recently formatted and tried out safari instead pf downloading and installing Firefox. SO far SAfari has been a dream.

ff seems to be heavy on mac memory especially the betas.

A lot of mouse events simply don't fire in FP10.

Just updated to 3.5.1 and it's noticeably faster now on first start-up.

Nope. I'm also on a Mac, works fine for me. I installed .0 as well. No problem with bookmarks or link focus.

Maybe I got lucky?

I just switched from a PC so everything seems insanely fast to me now. k

3.5.1 gave me a really fun time on first install - as I use a proxy that requires user/password, it threw up 100s of authentication windows, each with a "confirm" box in attendance - except the "confirm" box had no text, and no text on the buttons.

Clicking any of them seemed to spawn new ones...

Anyway Cnrl-Alt-Del killed that, and next restart it works fine, albeit with an apology for not restarting with my former tabs.

Its pretty cool, still not as fast as Chrome.

Updated yesterday (XP Pro) and since then it's a total load of shite. Obviously just my install, but I am finding that sites are failing to render.

The title-bar changes and the site just sites there at a white page 'loading'. If I close the tab and open a new one, the site will render almost immediately.

I use localhost most often and this has been the most irritating trait of 3.5. I may have to stab someone.

Mind you, I have also noticed that my IE fails to render - essentially hangs - on first open. Opening a second instance then works fine, but in FF3.5 this happens on almost every site call.

FF3.0.12 was perfect, by the way.
