OMG it was so beautiful today! Clear blue skies. Temps in the low 60's (16-ish to you furriners) with hardly any wind. I took my son and his dog to the lake for a picnic lunch.
A bit below freezing here, which is unusual 'round these parts. I have my feet pressed up to the radiator and the fan heater on as well. And two pairs of socks.

We could do with some of that cold down here mate. We've just come out of 7 consecutive days of +40 C (104 F) heat. Finally had a cool(ish) day today - low 30's. Perth in summer is fucking hot!

it is damn cold (about 2 degrees, proper degrees, not that fahrenheit nonsense) here and the missus is being stubborn about not turning the heating on. This place is draughty as hell, I'm sat with two jumpers and a woolly hat on, and still my fingers are numb.
Can't wait for Mark to come home so I can turn on the heat again!

I miss having the old couple living downstairs ... I'm sure we were warmer last year because they had their heating on full for 3 months and it came up through our floor.
The builders are currently working on our bathroom and the new bolier/plumbing system associated with it. Any day now, they say, they're going to have to shut down the old system and plumb in the new one -- and leave us without heating for a couple of days.
