I need to encode an mpeg to flv, but whenever I try the audio drops out of the flv. The Flash Video Encoder disables the audio settings panel for this file, so I'm stumped. Any ideas as to why this might be happening?

uuuuuummmm.....some new audio codec?

Who made the MPEG? ASk them what audio codec they used? FVE is usually pretty good for audio but not all audio codecs come across properly. For example, I don't think AAC is read by the old FVE versions such as Studio 8 (I still use Studio 8's FVE most times.

Perhaps try converting the mpg to a raw avi the converting to flv.
