I've been using Flash for years, and I've searched in the help files but can't find it so I thought I would ask all you knowledgable people.

In the instance panel when you have a button selected on the stage, what is the difference between "Track as Button" and "Track as Menu Item"?

I bet it's something really obvious!

Thanks to anyone who replies k

Hey Suzy, Just did a search, and came up with this...small difference.

Why would you ever want to track as menu, then??

I cannot think of a reason off hand!

It might be useful if you had some kind of multi-level navigation..

I don't know

I thought that, but your users would have to click and hold on the first button to extend the menu and not release until they had chosen their option and...well, it baffles me! k

Well, now I know! Thanks guys for the the replies and thanks Tha.Riddla for finding it (I should have thought to look on Macromedia's site!)

Don't think I'll use it much though
