We play a type of epic/adventure rock, and the band-mates seem pretty unanimous about keeping some sort of bones-n-skulls theme. I developed the shield logo as influenced by middle-ages crests, and also as an element of a greater visual campaign that will include stickers, patches, and even possibly epaulets that we might start wearing for our shows (the guys are really big on having a uniform look).
I wanted the shield logo to look more dimensional, but it just started getting too crappy looking, so I dialed it all back to be more subtle. Any "goldification" suggestions are welcome, I'd really like to make it look more metallic, if only slightly.
Overall feedback very much welcome, since I'm in the band it's been really hard to be objective.

It's pretty basic, but then I'm not getting paid to do this project so I'm trying to keep it on the simple side.
I dunno shit but I did like the little, almost hidden, skeleton man.
What's with the teddybear ears?
Bare bones. Bear bones. Bear. Bare? Mebbe?
It's like a Piers Anthony novel around here.

:conckers: about the teddy bear ears
lol @ ari.
Looks nice and clean Thad. I like the little skeleton guy too but it's the Social Distortion logo.
I liked the teddy bear ears myself, but the band should probably be called Bear Bones to make it work.
The teddy bear ears skull-head was something one of the original members came up with, and it's kinda stuck. I tried to do a logo without it, but everyone else in the band unanimously agreed they wanted to keep it.
Didn't notice the cocktail skeleton was a Social D logo, another left-over - I'm coming up with something to replace it.
put the "TEDDY" in the bear
i think the bear needs to look more like this

or make the ears more iconic
looks pretty good
maybe emboss the top of the shield or the whole floating site
you have a drop shadow that goes across the background which i like, so i would at least like to see it floating from the bottom the site too
