i'd love to see if 12s has the ability to do something like this. im thinking we could do a pretty sweet one with at least 6 people involved.

so show of hands, who'd be interested in something like this?

Not 100% sure how it works

you set a theme and we all make a 'patch' for the 'quilt' ?

if its something like that then yea im up for it if you can set a cool theme

We have just been trying to figure out exactly how it works here at our company and it looks pretty complicated, especially getting the final seamless loop. We have figured that the central box you have to fill is the exact center and an exact quarter of the whole image, but we are thinking you must have to it at a precent decent size to get the scaling right

I was wondering if anyone would suggest it here, I'd love to see it done!

edit// I'm sure you lot could do it, everything in here is fantastic k

::edited::

here's the plan:

** Theme // surreal futuristic 'down the rabbit hole' ** Last volley blending in with the first (creating a loop) ** Volley dimensions: 1280 X 960 ** Presentation dimensions 640 X 480 square in the center ** Vectors and bitmaps allowed

when you go about creating your picture, you'll have to take the previous image and design at 1280 X 960 to make it easier for people to blend. the presentation component will be at a 640X480 resolution.

ive created a schematic on how it will work which should make these instructions much more clear and will upload it as soon as my hosting provider stops fucking the dog.

anyways here are the slots that need to be filled... the last one will be the most challenging so we'll determine who's the strongest participant to help round the match up.

This will be super rewarding once completed, so think about it and hopefully we fill up the ten spots.

here's the layout, the first white square is designed at 1280 X 960, and is presentated half of that. http://www.submotion.com/battle/dimensions.jpg

with all the Flash&Code wizards around, the how it works isn't quite as important as knowing we've got the talent and vision around here to do something pretty darn cool too

one thing that seems to make that one work very well is the ribbon-like trail [or design element] that carries over from one image to the next... though its prolly not neccessary, it works incredibly well...

not much different from a mural... just eliminate the constraints—like the fixed overlap—and allow greater blending options between the images

totally, i think it will be a fun accomplishment if we can get this done.

if we can get at least 2 more people then i may start this badboy off.
