Cuz I can't find the other thread, and nobody hangs out in PT&M, anyways.
About 95% done. Awaiting input from the client.
I have an urge to do a Facebook "Like it" click
Looks really good!
Awesome work MC
Creepy good.
Wow, amazing. That original was pretty f'ed up. Stains and tears notwithstanding, that is some very skilled light balancing on your part. One niggling complaint, what's with the dark smudge in the centre of her forehead?
Amazing Mark.
I'd have said you faked it and trashed a good photo instead of fixing it.
That would be a funny project- reverse photoshopping perfectly good photos into a mess.
XD

Yeah. That's the other 5%. That 'smudge' and some issues with the chin.

I promise, I did not.
Slight revision:

incredible work mc, they'll be amazed I'm sure.
I know diddly about this of course, but I think the hair behind her left ear is perhaps a little too sharp, and should be a touch out of focus? To me it seems to stand out from the background a little too much.
Yeah. Final blending comes at the very end. I've re-worked the hair a bit since I posted this.
Amazing.

you shouls definitely get a pass with distiction for that! Lets hope that the good news travels and that you receive piles of work out of it!
Nice work MC! Especially removing the stains.
Why not in the photography thread?
I tend to think of the photography forum as for photos I took. I'm never sure what forum to put things in.
So how much do you charge to do photo repairs? Do you charge hourly, or by the job?
Well hello there.
I'd have to take a look, but I prolly charged around $100 for that one.
I generally charge by the job - take a look at the photos, make an estimate about what it'll take to fix it, then make a quote or quotes.
When someone says, "I have an old photo," it's very hard to know what you might be looking at. And they, of course, don't always know what is difficult to fix and what is easy.

Fixed.
If you can produce results like that in just a couple of hours, then you might consider charging a flat starting fee with additional time billed as needed. If it took you more than a few hours, you need to raise your rates.

LOL. You are probably right. However, since I'm currently getting little-to-no work of that sort, the point may be moot.
amazing, just amazing.

always a pleasure to see your skillz Mr Candybeard
