Kodak has filed for bankruptcy protection

(Reuters) - Eastman Kodak Co, the photography icon that invented the hand-held camera, has filed for bankruptcy protection and plans to shrink significantly after a prolonged plunge for one of America's best-known companies.

Its a Chapter 11 bankruptcy file - they expect to stay liquid throughout. It's not the end of Kodak.

Well, not quite, but it's certainly a low spot for a company that basically invented hobby photography.
